Could you tell us the story about your career path and education? Maybe give some professional background.

I have a Master’s degree in Information Science and Management, but Administration and Management led me throughout my career journey. I have more than 15 years of work experience in the fields of communication, administration, site management, employer branding and event organisation in Lithuanian and international organisations. Before joining Wargaming, I was leading the Administration & Communications department in one of the biggest shared service centres in Lithuanian financial institutions with more than 2000 employees. During my tenure, we became the most reputable company and most desirable employee in Lithuania.

I am a certified employer branding leader and a true believer in the impact of employee voice. Also spent a couple of years as a practitioner in the United States and improved my skills at the International School of Communications in Great Britain and Nyenrode Business University in the Netherlands.

Name several reasons why you chose to join the gaming industry. What is so attractive about the game industry?

For me, the gaming industry was like a veiled secret, and I knew I wanted to be part of it. I was always wondering what is behind the scenes and what the process looks like for the game to go live. I had no idea how complex it could be. I felt like this was something that could challenge me every day.

At the time I came to the company, the Wargaming Vilnius office was just established when I joined and accepted the challenge to be part of the fast-growing company and tech community and build a culture which engages all of us to be even more productive and dedicated.

Could you share your perspective on what is so unique about Wargaming?

My perspective on what is so unique about Wargaming is that the company’s culture is like no other. The company not only talks about it but really cares about its employees. From my working experience, I have never seen employees being so passionate and proud about their company and product itself. This is a huge part of their lives. It is something really special to be part of a team where everybody puts their heart into what they do daily.

What’s so special about your area of responsibility?

Being Chief of staff – is like being a gatekeeper for GM. You get an opportunity to touch on a really wide variety of topics and tasks. You get a chance to broaden your horizons, work with all the levels of people in the organisation, various cultures and attitudes, participate in the decision making and drive the organisation to achieve its goals.

As Chief of Staff, I’m part strategist, part project manager, and part troubleshooter – it’s both very challenging and immensely rewarding too!

Could you share your thoughts about the privileges of being in Lithuania? What do you like the most about this country? Tell the fact why everyone should visit Lithuania!

Not only is this country small, cosy, and beautiful, but it is rich by all means. Also, it’s full of amazing people from all walks of life. Our multicultural society is something special, and the diversity adds to its charm.

The four seasons are always wonderful in Lithuania, too!

What are your hobbies?

I am a passionate tennis player with no ambition to become Serena Williams. And this is the way for me to recharge, exercise and meet new people. I have a collection of more than 100+ cups from each country that my closest friends or I am travelling to. Almost half of the world is done, and the way to go ?

My guilty pleasure – I can eat milk chocolate with whole hazelnuts instead of any meal.

What advice would you give to a new joiner?

I would tell a new joiner to be curious and never stop learning new things! Most importantly, have fun and enjoy the journey! It is an exciting time for you as a new joiner, with so much learning ahead of you. So breathe in every moment and gain valuable experience that will help shape your future career path.
